Meet Elyssa Taylor
Elyssa Taylor has had hearing loss since childhood. At the time, her parents were unable to get her proper hearing care. She is now an elementary Special Education teacher. Her job is to help young students with developmental disabilities learn how to read. At times, she finds that the kids get embarrassed or upset at having to repeat their sentences for her. It also causes communication issues with other teachers and parents. That’s why the team at HearingLife in York, PA was pleased to present her with a pair of free hearing aids.
Elyssa is a mother of three young boys, two of whom have severe hearing loss that impacts their speech. Elyssa was never able to really relax because she was always worried about what she couldn’t hear around her at home.
Looking ahead with better hearing
Elyssa is looking forward to hearing her family at home, being better able to assist in shaping young minds, and maybe giving herself a minute to relax!
Congratulations, Elyssa!
