Charles Barrington
Charles Barrington is a kind and quiet pillar of his family and community who has recently had to leave his job due to injury. Being injured has not dampened his spirits or giving heart. Charles now has more time to spend at the food pantry organizing deliveries and helping community members in need.
His work at the food pantry had become more difficult, however, due to his hearing loss, which is why he sought help from Dr. Megan Espinosa at HearingLife.
“He worries that his hearing loss is creating difficulty for his family, fellow volunteers, and those he is helping,” says Dr. Espinosa. “He doesn't want to stop volunteering, but he doesn't want to cause problems because of his difficulty communicating.
Charles also worries about losing touch with his family during gatherings. His adult children and their families always have family dinner at least once per week.
“Mr. Charles Barrington is so generous in his life. It is his turn to receive a gift. He will certainly use better hearing to continue to bless his family and community,” says Dr. Espinosa.
The Campaign For Better Hearing is pleased to give Charles free hearing aids so he can continue to serve his community and engage with his family.
Congratulations, Charles!
